Safari sightings update from Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve

2010/11/01

What ever happened to the year, they seem to go past faster and faster, none the less the sightings also seem to get better and better, last weeks sightings in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve, South Africa. The highlight of last week with out a doubt must have been the Black Rhino with the poaching as it is at present to see this magnificent creature is most definately special. The Black rhinos where seen on 3 seperate occassions Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Lions and cubs where witnessed as well in the Umfolozi Game reserve section, Lots of Buffalo, White Rhino and Elephants where witnessed as well.

The elusive Leopard remained well camoflaged and hidden hopefully better luck this week. The river ( Black Umfolozi ) also has since our last post come down again and it is imperative that should one safari to this section of the park that one takes note that this time of the year it may come down a few times. The Hluhluwe Game Reserve was a bit quiet however good sightings of Lion where witnessed.

Jacques one of the lead guides has replaced his old camera and we should be updating new pictures daily once again.

We look forward to a good week in the reserve as the grass has quickly started to turn green.

Have a spectacular week.
