Once again a fantastic sighting of a Leopard was experienced on one of our Night Drives into the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park over the weekend. The sighting was recorded early on the drive and only 2 km into the Night Drive, clients where as can be expected astonished by the sighting. The nocturnal animal makes use of the dark to stalk his prey has also been seen on numerous occasions stalking in the town of St Lucia however todate no incidance has ever been recorded of a Leopard preying on a person. Latest sightings in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi & Isimangaliso Wetlands Park
September updates, news and sightings. The month of September as per norm has been windy in St Lucia as well as Hluhluwe Umfolozi, however the change from Winter to early Summer is evidant. This however means that the remaining water supplies do evaporate at a quicker rate. At present the water levels are once again at a low and therefore all water holes should be visited as animals most definately will frequent these areas. Weekly Report – Cheetah Hunts
Umfolozi Game Reserve has yet again supprised visitors , Cheetah hunts and sightings virtually each day that we where in the Umfolozi Game Reserve. As the World Cup Soccer heats up and Germany and England are to battle it out today we fortunately still have Safari vehicles in the Hluhluwe Game reserve today be it only for a half day safari just enough time for everybody to get to the local and watch the game. Lion Charge in the Hluhluwe , Umfolozi Game Reserve today left not only the game ranger but clients lost for words. What a sighting , the male Lion mating was caught of guard as much as the clients where. Close to Centenery Centre while on safari this morning our guides came across these magnificent creatures. Night Drive Leopard
Yes Leopard , this weekends Night Drive produced a sighting of the Ellusive creature for an amazing 30 mins inside of the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. The ranger out on the drive was Trevor , and conditions where not ideal with the cold front that had started to show its face on Friday it was far from ideal however as in the past we have realised that for a sighting of the Leopard ideal conditions are from what is needed.
